About
well, what is there to say?
I’m a twenty-something, living in Dallas, petroleum engineer by day, aspiring photographer by nights and weekends. As long as I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with pictures. I blame my dad, as he was constantly documenting the first five years of my life. A few months before he died, we had a set of pictures shot on location, and that set was my absolute favorite because the photographer truly captured the essence of our family. Throughout school, I could always be counted on to have a camera on hand to document every day. In Fall 2004, I headed to Florence, Italy to study at the Art Institute of Florence. Armed with a 35mm Minolta and an AWESOME lens, I fell in love with photography and tried to document every moment of my experience. Upon arriving home, I upgraded to a DSLR and decided to get serious about photography and started shooting away. I love shooting digital, because I’m no longer limited by film limitations and processing costs.
I love photographing moments. Beautiful moments. Moments in cities, moments between lovers, moments between families. I love moments, and I look for those when I shoot.
I look for unique angles and interesting textures. I like to see the “same old snapshot” through new eyes. I love bright colours. I love black and whites. I love capturing the energy in a photograph. I aspire to capture the emotion and the beauty of small gestures.
